Our Story

A Little About Us

Visual Academics was founded by Dr Shirin Shafaie to promote the use of video as method amongst fellow academics.
Our mission is to help PhD candidates and early-career researchers to increase their impact and public engagement by visualising their research stories. We achieve this by providing hands-on video training workshops to post-graduate students in all disciplines and at any stage of their research. We also make impactful and engaging documentaries based on academic research.
